Update about the ongoing proposals to close the Chartwell Inpatient Ward at the PRUH
We want to keep our supporters and the wider community informed about the ongoing proposals to close the Chartwell Inpatient Ward at the PRUH.
The next Bromley Council Health Scrutiny Sub-Committee meeting will take place at 5.00pm on Wednesday 21 January 2026. This meeting will be live streamed, with the broadcast starting shortly before the meeting begins. The meeting is an open forum, allowing local people to attend either remotely or in person. Before Christmas, we submitted several additional questions ahead of this meeting. We have since been informed that King’s College Hospital will be contacting us directly. Engaging in the Health Scrutiny process ensures that the voices of local people are heard, and strengthens our collective influence, the more supporters involved, the stronger our voice will be. We will share a further update once we have heard from them.
