Howard on ITV’s This Morning: The life-changing power of AV1 Robots

It was wonderful to see Howard share his story earlier today on ITV’s This Morning.
Howard was just 12 years old when he was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer just three months after starting secondary school. Whilst on treatment, he used the AV1 Robot which allowed him to stay connected with his lessons, friends and everyday activities.
Now, two years on, and thankfully in remission, Howard returned to This Morning, having previously appeared on the programme in July 2024. During today’s appearance, he spoke powerfully about the impact the AV1 No Isolation robot had on his own journey and how it continues to support other children and families facing similar cancer diagnoses. Howard also highlighted how we deliver these robots directly to young patients, helping them stay connected with education, friendships and vital social interaction throughout treatment.
We are incredibly proud to have supported Howard during his journey when he needed it most.
We have a growing robot programme and we have seen a 25% increase in requests from families and hospitals who need this vital support.
Each robot costs £3,500 with ongoing total running costs of around £25,000 per year. Many organisations, associations and individuals generously choose to sponsor a robot, helping us meet growing demand and reach even more young patients when they need it most.
