THE CHARTWELL CHARITIES NEWS

Stepping out for cancer

Thank you to everyone who stepped out on Sunday 26th June with us at our Great Summer 5k Sponsored Walk in the Park, Lloyd Park Croydon.

The weather was kind, no rain and the sun was out! We are pleased to report everyone made it safely around the route, and all received a medal for their sterling efforts

Donations are still coming in but we have reached over £4,000 so far, thank you all so much!

A big thank you also to our wonderful volunteers and marshals from Croydon College and Royal Russell School, who have selected The Chartwell Children’s Cancer Trust as their chosen charity for the year, and to Welling United Women’s FC who opened the walk with a warm up at the start line.

The money we raise for The Chartwell Children’s Cancer Trust helps the most vulnerable children we support as they undergo treatment for cancer and leukaemia.

One of our projects is to fund the creation and development of a NEW ONCOLOGY APP, an inspiring tech powered solution, which will change lives – giving children and families fighting cancer easy access to comprehensive, high quality, evidence-based education resources direct to their phone or tablet.

We are so proud to be involved. To watch the extra special video with you, which introduces the new app and features some extraordinary oncology families who are supporting the app’s development, telling their unique stories and sharing their experiences of the overwhelming challenges they faced when their children were diagnosed with cancer, click HERE
