The Chartwell Cancer Trust is continuing its mission to bring comfort and support to patients by recently donating a fully stocked bookcase to the Chartwell Cancer & Leukaemia Unit Day Room in The Princess Royal University Hospital. This thoughtful addition aims to provide a welcome source of entertainment and relaxation for patients undergoing treatment.

The new bookcase features a diverse selection of books. Patients are encouraged to browse the collection, choose something that interests them, and can even take their selections home. The bookcase will be regularly checked and replenished by the Chartwell team. 

This small gesture makes all the difference in brightening a patient’s day, offering continuity and care for patients who frequent the unit.

The donation of the bookcase is just one of the many ways that The Chartwell Cancer Trust strives to enhance the patient experience at the Princess Royal University Hospital to improve the quality of life for both patients and their families as they navigate the often difficult journey of cancer treatment.
