THE CHARTWELL CHARITIES NEWS

Paris Wells, Ambassador, The Chartwell Cancer Trust

Local resident, Paris Wells, has sadly been diagnosed with Stage 2 Hodgkin Lymphoma, a rare cancer that develops in the lymphatic systems. She joins 2100 people who are diagnosed with this disease each year.

Paris is currently receiving treatment in the Chartwell Unit at The Princess Royal University Hospital (PRUH), one of the local hospitals The Chartwell Cancer Trust directly supports.

We are very proud that Paris has agreed to represent The Chartwell Cancer Trust as our ambassador, she has been busy raising awareness and fundraising to raise donations for our charity.

Before Paris’s chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatment started, Paris completed a 7 mile walk with her family and friends and has been sharing her cancer journey through a series of inspiring TikTok videos, which she hopes will help other cancer suffers going through the same or similar situations. Paris’s first TikTok video, which illustrated how she first found out that she had cancer, received OVER 9 MILLION VIEWS.

In between treatments, Paris is making handcrafted beaded bracelets to raise donations for The Chartwell Cancer Trust. The bracelets come in a variety of beautiful colours and designs, are individually packaged, and each one has its own unique ‘inspirational word’.

To pick one up for a small donation, they are available in our Tatsfield and Westerham charity shops.
