Oncology Guide app goes nationwide on World Cancer Day

Sunday 4th February is a hugely important date in our calendar as we stand with millions around the globe to commemorate World Cancer Day. This annual initiative is one of the most high-profile health awareness days in the world and sees individuals, organisations, and governments everywhere uniting in the fight against cancer.

As with every year, people from all walks of life are coming together to raise awareness, challenge inequities, break down barriers, and champion a world where every person has access to quality care, no matter who they are.

It’s a time to remember we all have the power to make a difference, big or small, and that together we will reduce the global impact of cancer and build a healthier future for everyone!

The Oncology Guide App

One of our greatest and proudest achievements of 2023 was the unveiling of The Oncology Guide – the free first-of-its-kind resource that supports parents and children with trusted information through the early days of cancer treatment.

To coincide with World Cancer Day on Sunday 4 th  February, we are thrilled to announce that we have been invited to appear on BBC Sunday Morning Live to introduce the project to the nation!

Looking ahead, there are exciting plans afoot for 2024 to continue developing the app with the generation of new features and content and the growth of wider partnerships and networks to ensure it reaches cancer communities far and wide.

Join us this year in raising awareness and funds to realise the full potential of this project to transform how oncology children and families navigate their journey through cancer.
