Charity Fair – Sophie Powell legacy
The charity fair in loving memory of Sophie Powell was held at the Bickley and Widmore Social Club on Sat 26th June. The weather was fine for a fun filled afternoon and included a BBQ, tombola, raffle, face painting, bouncy castle, a cake stall and other stalls. A fantastic jazz band played along to add to the atmosphere and a great afternoon was had by all.
Thank you to Sophie’s Great Auntie Linda, who organised the fair, to everyone who helped and worked tirelessly, as well as those who came along on the day to support and make the event such a success. £1.090 was raised on the day donated to ‘Sophie’s Wish’ Holiday Home on the Isle of Wight. Oncology families are welcome to stay for a holiday or weekend break to Sophie’s Wish to have fun and make precious memories, ensuring that Sophie’s legacy lives on.
