CHARTWELL NEWS

Powered by people: community commitment behind local cancer care

The latest feature published in the News Shopper highlights the incredible community spirit behind The Chartwell Charities and the local cancer services we support.

The article focuses on three long-standing supporters – Paul Clark, Anna Young, Bells Accountants and volunteer Jill Moore  each reflecting on what first inspired their involvement with Chartwell and what has kept their loyalty and commitment alive over many years.

From Paul Clark’s extraordinary ‘Midsummer Madness’ cycling challenge, which raised more than £31,000 for a new Cancer Information Centre at the Chartwell Unit, to Bells Accountants’ sustained corporate fundraising support, and Jill Moore’s decade of dedicated volunteering behind the scenes, the feature showcases the many different ways individuals and organisations help make a real difference to local cancer patients and families.

Together, their stories demonstrate the power of community, trust and practical support close to home.

At The Chartwell Charities, we are powered by people who choose to help in many different ways – whether by:

  • Making a donation
  • Becoming a patron
  • Taking on a fundraising challenge
  • Hosting a coffee morning or prosecco party
  • Volunteering your time
  • Exploring school, community or corporate partnerships

Every act of support helps us continue providing practical help, equipment, services and care for local cancer patients and their families.
