Bromley Business Network abuzz with Chartwell’s life-changing AV1 robots
It was a packed house at the Bromley Business Network (BBN) meeting on 12th March, a dynamic not-for-profit group where local businesses connect, exchange ideas, and build valuable relationships in a relaxed setting.
The Chartwell Cancer Trust’s Projects and Appeals Manager, Jo Bennett, took centre stage as the event’s ‘In the Spotlight’ speaker. She shared her inspiring journey leading to her role today and showcased Chartwell’s groundbreaking AV1 Robots, with a special focus on ‘Chas 2.0’, the newest addition to the robot pool, generously sponsored by BBN member and ardent Chartwell supporter Chas Jordan.
Jo explained how these life-changing robots help children undergoing cancer treatment stay engaged in school, preventing isolation by acting as their eyes and ears in the classroom, during assemblies, on the playground, and even on school trips.
Each AV1 Robot costs £3,500, with an £800 annual maintenance fee—many of which have been generously funded by supporters.
BBN hosts regular breakfast meetings, offering business professionals a chance to network in person and online for a small fee.
