Members of the public are being encouraged to attend or watch today’s London Borough of Bromley Health Scrutiny Sub-Committee meeting, where the proposed changes to the Chartwell Inpatient Ward at the Princess Royal University Hospital (PRUH) will be discussed.
The meeting will take place on Thursday 9 July 2026 at 5.00pm in the Council Chamber at Bromley Civic Centre and is open to the public. Residents are welcome to attend in person. We are please to confirm that the meeting will now be live streamed, so if you are unable to attend, you can watch it live via Bromley Council’s live meetings page: https://www.bromley.gov.uk/news/article/53/council-meetings-live

Thousands of residents, patients, families, councillors, MPs and healthcare professionals have voiced their opposition, highlighting the importance of maintaining specialist local inpatient cancer services.
Our campaign petition has now attracted almost 34,000 signatures, demonstrating the strength of public feeling and support for protecting the Chartwell Inpatient Ward.
