New match day scheme to raise donations for Chartwell

Welling United FC and their fans have joined forces with us in our mission to improve the lives of children fighting cancer. This has included hosting our Childhood Cancer Support Group parties and inviting the children to come along as mascots on match days.

Inspired by our small army of AV1 No Isolation Robots, supporting children with their education while they undergo treatment, the Club has launched a campaign to raise funds for a robot to add to our existing pool, with “Wingy robot” as the Club’s new mascot at the helm!

We were thrilled to be invited to attend the Welling United FC v Dartford home game on Saturday 4th February where ‘Wingy’ got his first appearance on the pitch! It was an action- packed match attended by a huge number of the club’s supporters as well as supporters of our charity. The day was a fantastic opportunity to raise awareness about our work and to bucket collect amongst fans. You can view a demo of Wingy Robot by clicking: HERE

Off the pitch, the club continues their dedicated fundraising efforts by donating 10% of their online ticket sales and merchandise on selected match days and have a created a unique booking link the charity can share with supporters should they wish to book tickets. And through their online ticket platform, we receive 50% of the booking fee for every ticket purchased, allowing fans to contribute to the cause, whilst enjoying their favourite fixtures.

If you are a keen football fan, this is the perfect opportunity for a fun day out with friends and family knowing you will also play your part in making a life-changing difference to young oncology patients in the local community.
