National Lottery awards funding Chartwell’s holiday home
Thank you to The National Lottery Community Fund for their generous funding of £9970 towards our holiday home located on the Isle of Wight for young oncology patients and their families.
The initiative was inspired by an oncology family close to our charity, in memory of their daughter, whose love for holidaying there, makes this donation so special.
‘Sophie’s Wish’ Lodge provides a unique and much-needed space for oncology families to enjoy some quality time beyond the challenges of cancer. The opportunity for oncology families to have funded holidays in such a beautiful location is a fantastic way to bring some happiness into their lives, allowing them to enjoy some peace of mind and make happy memories.
The funding will play a crucial role in maintaining the lodge to the highest standards, covering expenses like cleaning, utilities, site fees, and furnishings upgrades. The project management is also funded to ensure the facility operates smoothly.
