Trustee Michael Douglas featured in Newshopper

We are proud to share that our Founder and Trustee, Michael Douglas, has been featured in this week’s Newshopper (Bromley and Bexley editions), sharing his personal perspective on the future of inpatient cancer care at Princess Royal University Hospital (PRUH).
In 2003, Michael was treated for leukaemia at the Chartwell Unit at PRUH. The care he received there saved his life. That experience led him to establish The Chartwell Cancer Trust, committing more than two decades to strengthening local cancer services.
Michael believes it remains his duty to speak openly and to invite others to do the same – to help ensure that future decisions about cancer care are grounded in patient safety, access, and the lived realities of our community.

- Why care close to home is fundamental for elderly and vulnerable patients
