Making a difference – Supermarket Support
The Chartwell Children’s Cancer Trust is thrilled to announce fantastic support from local supermarkets, helping us continue our vital work supporting children with cancer and their families.

Co-op Local Community Fund
We are delighted to have been chosen by the Co-op Local Community Fund until October 2026. This support will help expand our AV1 Robot programme, enabling children with cancer to stay connected to school, friends, and everyday life when treatment keeps them away.
If you are a Co-op Member, you can choose us as your local cause at stores in Biggin Hill, Coney Hall, Orpington, or a store near you. Every shop and token makes a difference. Not a member? Joining is quick via the Co-op App or at
Tesco Stronger Starts Grant
We are delighted to share that we have already received £1,500 through the Tesco Stronger Starts Grant, thanks to customers voting for us in local Tesco stores including Croxted Rd, Tulse Hill, Streatham, Clapham, West Norwood, and Brixton Hill. This funding supports our Family Childhood Cancer Support Groups, giving children and families safe spaces to connect, share experiences, and make happy memories during challenging times. The Tesco Stronger Starts customer vote continues until the end of March, offering us two further opportunities to win up to £1,500:
- In support of our AV1 Robot appeal: Grove Park, Lewisham, Bellingham, Downham, Hither Green, and Catford.
- In support of our Childhood Cancer Support Groups: Purley Extra, Sanderstead Express, Coulsdon Express, and Croydon Express.
Shoppers can vote using in-store tokens – every token helps change young lives.
Please spread the word and thank you for your support.
Waitrose Community Matters
From October to December 2025, Waitrose stores in Caterham and Oxted supported us through their refreshed Community Matters programme. Customers voted using the familiar green token system, including donations from convenience stores.
If you would like to nominate us as part of the scheme, please visit your local Waitrose and speak to Customer Services or drop them an email.
