Lily’s Lockdown Birthday

Lily’s Lockdown Birthday: A new children’s storybook raising money for The Lily Pad Appeal.

We are delighted to announce the publication of ‘Lily’s Lockdown Birthday’, a touching new children’s story book by author and illustrator Andy Stonehouse in aid of The Lily Pad Appeal.

Told from the perspective of a 4-year-old girl, this is the poignant story of one family’s experiences living through lockdown – finding joy and making special memories during hard times. It’s a story that will strike a chord with all of us.

Warming hearts and lifting spirits, the book also highlights and applauds the incredible contribution of front-line NHS staff, key workers and carers throughout the COVID-19 crisis. It’s perfect for parents and little ones to enjoy together and celebrate the people who have risked themselves to care for us and keep us safe.

Andy Stonehouse will be donating proceeds from this book to The Lily Pad Appeal.

“I am delighted to help support such a worthwhile cause. In creating the book I wanted to use it to raise funds for the NHS in some way. When I heard about The Lily Pad Appeal, and the work of Chartwell Children’s Cancer Trust, it seemed like such a perfect fit. I hope everyone enjoys the story and that we can do some good along the way.” Andy Stonehouse, author.

“Our long-standing commitment to the brave children in our communities fighting Cancer and Leukaemia is stronger than ever. With the emergence of Coronavirus, they are twice as vulnerable. We are so grateful to Andy for his generosity and support.” Michael Douglas, head of The Chartwell Children’s Cancer Trust.
