Chartwell Children’s Cancer Trust upgrades coffee machines for oncology staff and families on Tiger Ward, Queen Elizabeth Hospital
For many years, The Chartwell Children’s Cancer Trust has been dedicated to enhancing the experience of children’s oncology units across the wards it supports. One such initiative that has provided ongoing comfort to staff, patients, and families is the provision of coffee machines—offering a simple yet invaluable respite during long and often challenging hospital stays.
Recently, it was time for an upgrade on Tiger Ward at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, where Chartwell stepped in to provide a new, state-of-the-art coffee machine. Thanks to the generosity of our incredible supporters, staff members and oncology families alike can continue to enjoy warm refreshments during their time on the ward. Whether it is a quick pick-me-up for the hard-working medical teams or a comforting cup of coffee for parents and caregivers who spend countless hours by their child’s side, this small luxury goes a long way in providing a sense of comfort during difficult times.
For families, something as simple as a hot cup of coffee can bring a touch of normalcy during an otherwise stressful period. That is why we are committed to addressing both practical and emotional needs. The coffee machines are just one of many ways we strive to meet the direct needs of the dedicated medical teams and the families we support.
