Charity bike ride for Lily-Mae

The annual charity bike in memory of Lily-Mae took place on Sunday 14th May, a combination of cyclists and non-cyclists, organised by supporter, Kevin Kingshott, also Lily-Mae’s uncle.

The weather was much kinder this year, dry, and not too hot.   The 22-mile route, which always starts from Kevin’s house, takes you across the South Downs along the costal path and stunning views to Peacehaven, past the ridge by the radio masts at Firle Beacon, and then all downhill back to Seaford for the finish.  It is a challenging, hilly, and at times, windy route, with no room for wobbles, especially along the cliff edges.   We are pleased to report, that nobody was left behind and that everyone managed to complete it safely!

Thank you to the cyclists, Kevin, John (Lily-Mae’s Grandad), friends and family for their ongoing support and commitment, and for raising funds in Lily-Mae’s memory.
