In 2013, Steven Wright created a “Tree of Memories” at his place of work in Coolings Green & Pleasant Knockholt in memory of his wife, Marisa Wright.  The “Tree of Memories” is on the Nature Trail at Coolings over a six-acre area.  Passers-by can tie a ribbon to the tree and make a small donation.  Steven’s “Tree of Memories” has had plenty of visitors, so much so, that to date it has raised almost £5,000 for The CCT.

Steven and his family have also supported The CCT in many other ways including “Team Wright” in our 2014 10k Run.  His daughter Lisa ran the London Marathon in 2015 and his son Daniel ran the Brighton Marathon in 2016. The whole family has made such a wonderful difference to our cause raising almost £9,000 overall and we are so immensely grateful.

Steven recently wrote to us to let us know that he will no longer be working at Coolings but Marisa’s “Tree of Memories” legacy will continue.   Especially now that the summer months and school holidays are coming, the Nature Trail is a lovely place for a family day out where you can experience a wealth of wildlife including wallabies, rare-breed pigs, goats, sheep, chickens, ducks and geese and a great place to visit.

We would like to thank Steven and his family for everything they have done and wish them well.
