A sizzling Victory!

The British 10k run route is world famous. It takes you through the heart of Central London, passing many of the Capital’s world-class historic landmarks including Trafalgar Square, the Embankment, Big Ben and Westminster.

This year’s theme was a celebration of movement and music. The streets of Westminster were transformed into one gigantic British street party with Union Jacks, live bands and DJs located around the route to keep those running shoes tapping from the start to the finish line.

We are always so lucky with the weather each year. But this year, the record breaking temperatures really added to the challenge. Sun-cream and water were equally as important as endurance and determination!
Our runners were all taking part for their own special reasons either independently or as part of a team. We also had quite a few teams entered this time round: Team Munroe, Team O’Brien, Team Blackwell, Bromley FC, Team Sidwell, Team Fight Cancer Squad, Team Go-Ahead, and Team Stringa.

We are pleased to report that everyone made it to the finish line fit and well. Congratulations to them all! Well done to Louis Hollingsworth from Team Fight Cancer Squad, who was first to cross the finish line at 00:55:52 followed by Adam Price from Team Go Ahead who came through at 01:05:00. Well done also to Chanyl Welch and Angel Shopher. Despite the sizzling conditions, they kept on going and still managed to complete the run in under 2 hours.

Collectively our runners raised £12,500. Thank you all so much for your fantastic efforts and to everyone who supported them!
