The Magic of AV1 – helping young patients to stay connected to school life, education, friendship and normality.
The Chartwell Children’s Cancer Trust is the first UK charity to fund the life-changing No Isolation AV1 robots supporting young cancer patients to stay in touch with their education, teachers and school friends during their treatment. Thanks to our supporters, we have 14 robots in active use, 14 very happy young patients and we are working hard to expand the use of this technology in our local hospitals and schools.
Sponsors Santander were busy fundraising at their West Wickham branch where the local community really came together to support the initiative. Ten schools from The Pioneer Academy are on a mission to raise funds for an AV1 Robot. Each school’s challenge is to raise £350 by carrying out their own fundraising initiatives. Thank you to everyone involved and good luck! Well done to Edenbridge Primary School and South Norwood Primary School for working so hard with their fundraising collections.
