Thanks to funds raised by our supporters, we were able to respond to an appeal from Professor John Strouboulis and the Research Team at King’s College Hospital last year and purchase specialist equipment needed to undertake a pioneering gene editing cancer research project.

We are sharing a recent progress report from the team which highlights the vital importance of this work and the real scientific impact our fundraising has allowed.

This ground-breaking work in the development of new cancer therapies has only been made possible because of the generosity of our supporters.

“The support of The Chartwell Cancer Trust is invaluable to this research. It has given us the right environment, people, and resources to deliver pioneering research which has the potential to improve the lives and outcomes of millions of people.

We are honoured that you have chosen to support Professor Strouboulis, who is extremely grateful to The Chartwell Cancer Trust. Together we can have a real and tangible impact on the lives of people affected by blood cancer and other haematological disorders.“   King’s College Hospital Impact Report
