Towards the end of last year, we very sadly lost our cherished friend and long-standing supporter of The Chartwell Cancer Trust, Mr Prakash Sinha.

Prakash was a truly distinguished consultant surgeon and Medical Director for The Princess Royal University Hospital. Over the years we achieved great things together for The PRUH including investment in cutting-edge breast cancer scanners and state-of-the-art equipment to create virtual cancer clinics at the hospital.

In celebration of his life, we are proud to support Prakash’s Family and Friends in organising the first annual fundraising walk in his memory. The event is an act of loving remembrance and a chance to raise funds for a cause so close to his heart. We feel deeply honoured that proceeds will be dedicated to the work our charity does for cancer care.

We would like to warmly invite you to join us in the memory of Prakash on Sunday 18th April – the date of his birthday. In accordance with government guidelines, we cannot come together but by gathering up to six friends and family members for a local 5k minimum walk in your area and by making a donation on Prakash Sinha’s memorial page, we can all honour his memory.

The family have suggested participants share a short video clip of their walk and a shot of their walking route to form part of a tribute film that will document the event. You can send your video clips to

Please join us for what will be a truly international celebration of the life of this remarkable man, the lives he has touched and the rich legacy he has left behind.
