CCT Trustee Bobby Beech hosted her second Annual Charity Gala Evening at Park Wood Golf Club on Friday 13th October. It was a fantastic night raising over £5,500 for The Chartwell Cancer Trust. Bobby Beech reports…

Oh Wow! What a fabulous night we had! I think it’s true to say that everyone had a wonderful time enjoying the party atmosphere to the hilt! The dance floor was full – how could it not be with the extremely charismatic Fil Straughan (aka Luther Vandross!) entertaining us all the way!

As for the fundraising, the support and generosity spoke for itself on the night. The Silent Auction being a huge success, with items to suit all potential bidders. The greatest bid of the night was a £1000 for a portrait on canvas of David Bowie, which was so kindly painted by a dedicated supporter of ours.

So to say, an amazing evening all round, and enormous thanks go out again to all the other wonderful people who donated items for auction or raffle to boost the raising of funds on the night, we are always so grateful to each and every one of you.

Last, but my no means least, my personal thanks go to the wonderfully efficient and hardworking team from The CCT, for organising the event with me, so a big applause to them all.  Here’s to the next one! With much love Bobby.
