Supporters Laptops & Lipstick, the ladies networking group, held their annual quiz night on Friday 9th February at The Bridge House Pub in Penge and all funds raised went to The CCT. Congratulations to the winners, Trina Smith’s team. Sadly, our CCT team didn’t win but they did manage to win the ‘Trump Painting’ competition, using anything they could get their hands on. A great time was had by all and £826 was raised. Thank you to everyone who attended and took part.
The newly appointed Captain of The Gresham Artisans Golf Club, Alan Moore, has nominated The Chartwell Cancer Trust as his Captain’s Charity of the Year.
CCT patron, Alan, whose wife Jill has volunteered for The CCT for the past five years said: “We all know someone who has been affected, either directly or indirectly, by cancer and I have the full backing of all the lads at the club to try to raise as much money as we can this year to support this fabulous local charity.”
Nearest the pin contests, Captain’s club fines and a summer golf day are just a few of the ways the members are going to be contributing to the fundraising.
Gresham is the Artisan Section of the Limpsfield Chart Golf Club. One of the oldest clubs in the South of England it is located on the A25 between Limpsfield and Westerham. For more information on The Gresham Artisans or membership enquiries please see their website www.gagc.co.uk
