Last year, Caroline Sheehan’s father, David Sheehan, sadly passed away after a three-year battle against cancer. He spent numerous visits in and out of the Chartwell Unit in The PRUH where they cared for him until the end. Caroline said: “I wanted to thank everyone in the Unit for everything they did for him and to help others fight this awful disease.” Caroline, her brother, his wife, and a couple of friends decided to take on the Thames bridge Trek Challenge, a 25k walk over 16 bridges from Putney Bridge to Tower Bridge. It was a super day and ‘Team Sheehanies’ raised over £3,000 in David’s memory. What a fitting tribute and thank you to Caroline, her family and friends for such an amazing achievement.
