Fly2help is an aviation charity dedicated to raising the spirits of people, young and old, and has been organising Air Smiles Days for over 12 years. Five year old Pharrell and his family were nominated by The Chartwell Children’s Cancer Trust to spend an Air Smiles Day at Biggin Hill Airport on the 15th April. The family enjoyed time with the Airport Fire Service, where Pharrell taught the fire crew some ‘interesting’ ways of firing a hose! Everyone then enjoyed lunch before meeting the pilot, Martin, ahead of their flight. There were certainly lots of #AirSmiles and they even inspired Pharrell’s brother to start saving for an aeroplane of his own! The day concluded with a visit to Biggin Hill Heritage Hangar to see the Spitfires, Hurricanes, bikes and cars, which proved very popular with everybody.

A huge thank you to fly2help and everyone involved on the day and we look forward to the next Air Smiles day planned in August for our childhood cancer support groups.
