As our worlds open up and summer comes ever closer, we are happy to report more positive news on The Lily Pad Appeal!

Fundraising is going from strength to strength, boosted by the reopening of our charity shops and we’ve now passed the half a million pound mark – almost 70% of our total target. We simply wouldn’t have come this far without our supporters so we want to express our thanks with each and every one of you.

Here’s another behind-the-scenes update on the building project – we hope you’ll share in our excitement!

Full steam ahead at Croydon University Hospital!

The Paediatric Oncology Unit build is continuing to take shape this month, with the first fix of interior partition walls and mechanical ductwork in place within the facility’s oncology and high dependency areas, the first part of construction to benefit from these internal improvements.

As the walls go up inside, foundations are being laid outside, with underpinning and drainage works almost complete ahead of the construction of the largest extension, which brings two existing buildings together to form a large integrated clinical space.

Next month, contractors will begin the installation of steelworks as part of a phased plan.
